    Focus on what matters most

Not all issues are created equal.

Some are quick wins. Others are mission-critical bugs that need immediate attention. But until now, all feedback inside Marker.io looked the same.

    That changes today.

With our new Issue Priority feature, you can now classify issues by urgency—so your team knows exactly what to tackle first.

    Why we built this

One of the biggest challenges our users face is knowing what to focus on once feedback starts flowing in.

When every issue looks equally important, it’s hard to triage effectively. Your team ends up wasting time chasing low-priority feedback while high-impact issues get buried.

    That’s where priority comes in.

Whether it’s a broken checkout flow, a critical UI bug, or a tiny copy update, priority levels help your team quickly understand the urgency behind each issue.

    Add structure with priority levels

Example of setting priority levels in Marker.io.

Each issue can now be assigned one of five levels:

    • 🚨 Urgent: needs immediate attention (e.g. broken checkout)
    • ⬆️ High: important, but not breaking
    • ↔️ Medium: normal priority
    • ⬇️ Low: low impact or nice-to-have
    • No priority: no level defined

And if an issue is marked as Urgent, the assignee will be notified automatically—ensuring critical problems never go unnoticed.

    Set priority where it matters

You can assign or update an issue’s priority:

    • When submitting feedback via widget
    • On the issue detail page
    • In-line from the issue list
    • In bulk with multi-select

Just like Issue Types and Assignees, priority is another layer of structure to help your team stay organized.

    Sort, filter, and focus

Priority doesn’t just help individual reporters communicate urgency—it also gives your team much more clarity.

With just a few clicks, you can:

    • Sort issues by urgency (e.g. Urgent at the top)
    • Filter your backlog to focus only on high-priority items
    • Triage smarter during planning meetings

This means less time deciding what to work on, and more time solving the right problems.

    Benefits for your entire team

    For clients and reporters

They can signal urgency directly through the widget, giving them confidence that important feedback won’t be ignored.

    For project managers

They can prioritize backlogs more effectively, make better planning decisions, and ensure the most impactful work gets done first.

    For developers and assignees

They’ll instantly know when something needs urgent attention—without having to read every issue in depth.

    For QA and triagers

They can sort and filter issues by priority, making triage and review workflows more efficient.

    What’s next?

Issue Priority joins Issue Types and Assignees as another key building block in structuring feedback. Together, these fields help you bring clarity and control to your issue management process, without sacrificing the simplicity Marker.io is known for.
