Lauren Gray is an independent developer and the owner of Once Coupled, who works closely with other independent designers and developers to create websites food bloggers love.
This team of five uses Marker.io to do seamless reporting and resolving of bugs and issues. However, they do not limit their Marker.io use to internal testing and team members! Their clients also report directly in the Asana projects Lauren and the team set up.
Why Marker.io
Before Lauren and her team started using Marker.io, they got long emails of customers to make changes to their customised websites. One team member was creating Asana tasks as a full-time job! Even with a single person creating tasks non stop, there were often multiple to-do's and added comments in one Asana task.
The results: wasting time, disappointing clients and endlessly long email threads.
"There were sometimes 16 to-do's in one task, which makes it a lot harder to keep track of what is done and what isn't. We would tell a client we had done a task, but it turned out we had not seen everything... But I have never missed a task that made it from Marker.io to Asana!"
Using the Guest portal like a ticketing system
To cut down on client emails and get more Asana tasks completed, Lauren and her coworkers started encouraging clients to use Marker.io. Now, they communicate with clients mainly through the Marker.io Guest Portal (and the occasional email). Clients are allowed to submit anything through the Marker.io widget, letting them be creative and reducing emails further.
